A novel class of β‐functionalized push–pull zinc opp ‐dibenzoporphyrins were designed, synthesized, and utilized as sensitizers for dye‐sensitized solar cells. Spectral, electrochemical, and computational studies were systematically performed to evaluate their spectral coverage, redox behavior, and electronic structures. These porphyrins displayed much broader spectral coverage and more facile oxidation upon extension of the π conjugation. Free‐energy calculations and femtosecond transient absorption studies (charge injection rate in the range of 1011 s−1) suggested efficient charge injection from the excited singlet state of the porphyrin to the conduction band of TiO2. The power conversion efficiency (η ) of YH3 bearing acrylic acid linkers (η =5.9 %) was close to that of the best ruthenium dye N719 (η =7.4 %) under similar conditions. The superior photovoltaic performance of YH3 was attributed to its higher light‐harvesting ability and more favorable electron injection and collection, as supported by electrochemical impedance spectral studies. Complexation between (O ‐methyl)6‐2,6‐helic[6]arene and a series of tertiary ammonium salts was described. It was found that the macrocycle could form stable complexes with the tested aromatic and aliphatic tertiary ammonium salts, which were evidenced by 1H NMR spectra, ESI mass spectra, and DFT calculations. In particular, the binding and release process of the guests in the complexes could be efficiently controlled by acid/base or chloride ions, which represents the first acid/base‐ and chloride‐ion‐responsive host–guest systems based on macrocyclic arenes and protonated tertiary ammonium salts. Moreover, the first 2,6‐helic[6]arene‐based [2]rotaxane was also synthesized from the condensation between the host–guest complex and isocyanate. 相似文献

We construct analytical solutions for a system composed of a reaction–diffusion equation coupled with a purely diffusive equation. The question is to know if the traveling wave solutions of the reaction–diffusion equation can generate a traveling wave for the diffusion equation. Our motivation comes from the calcic wave, generated after fertilization within the egg cell endoplasmic reticulum, and propagating within the egg cell. We consider both the monostable (Fisher–KPP type) and bistable cases. We use a piecewise linear reaction term so as to build explicit solutions, which leads us to compute exponential tails whose exponents are roots of second-, third-, or fourth-order polynomials. These raise conditions on the coefficients for existence of a traveling wave of the diffusion equation. The question of positivity and monotonicity is only partially answered. 相似文献

Antimicrobial nanogels, aggregates, and films are prepared by complexation of the antiseptic and bacteriostatic agent chlorhexidine (CHX) for medical and dental applications. A series of α‐, β‐, and γ‐cyclodextrin methacrylate (CD‐MA) containing hydrophobic poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) based nanogels are loaded quantitatively with CHX in aqueous dispersion. The results show that CHX is enhancedly complexed by the use of CD‐MA domains in the particles structure. β‐CD‐MA nanogels present the highest uptake of CHX. Furthermore, it is observed that the uptake of CHX in nanogels is influenced by the hydrophobic PMMA structure. CHX acts as external cross‐linker of nanogels by formation of 1:2 (CHX:CD‐MA) inclusion complexes of two β‐CD‐MA units on the surfaces of two different nanogels. The nanogels adsorb easily onto glass surfaces by physical self‐bonding and formation of a dense crosslinked nanogel film. Biological tests of the applied CHX nanogels with regard to antimicrobial efficiency are successfully performed against Staphylococcus aureus .

A hybrid hydrogel composed of solid lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) entrapped within chemically cross‐linked carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) is developed to achieve localized and sustained release of lipophilic drugs. The analysis of LNP stability as well as the hydrogel swelling and mechanical properties confirm the successful incorporation of particles up to a concentration of 50% w/wCMC. The initial LNP release rate can be prolonged by increasing the particle diameter from 50 to 120 nm, while the amount of long‐term release can be adjusted by tailoring the particle surface charge or the cross‐linking density of the polymer. After 30 d, 58% of 50 nm diameter negatively charged LNPs escape from the matrix while only 17% of positively charged nanoparticles are released from materials with intermediate cross‐linking density. A mathematical diffusion model based on Fick's second law is efficient to predict the diffusion of the particles from the hydrogels. 相似文献

Long-range electron transfer reactions play a key role in biological photosynthesis, and they are likely to play an important role for future artificial photosynthetic endeavors as well. The possibility to control the rates for long-range electron transfer with external stimuli is of particular interest in this context. In the work presented herein, we explored a donor–bridge–acceptor compound in which intramolecular electron transfer from a triarylamine donor to a photoexcited Ru(bpy)32+ (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine) acceptor occurs across an organoboron bridge over a distance of approximately 22 Å. Fluoride has a high binding affinity to the organoboron bridge in apolar solutions, and the resulting organofluoroborate has a significantly different electronic structure. We explored to what extent the change from an electron-deficient organoboron wire to an electron-rich organofluoroborate bridge affects long-range electron transfer between the distant triarylamine donor and the Ru(bpy)32+ acceptor. 相似文献

Theory of matrix splittings is a useful tool in the analysis of iterative methods for solving systems of linear equations. When two splittings are given, it is of interest to compare the spectral radii of the corresponding iteration matrices. This helps to arrive at the conclusion that which splitting should one choose so that one can reach the desired solution of accuracy or the exact solution in a faster way. In the case of many splittings are provided, the comparison of the spectral radii is time-consuming. Such a situation can be overcome by introducing another iteration scheme which converges to the same solution of interest in a much faster way. In this direction, the theory of alternating iterations for real rectangular matrices is recently proposed. In this note, some more results to the theory of alternating iterations are added. A comparison result of two different alternating iteration schemes is then presented which will help us to choose the iteration scheme that will guarantee the faster convergence of the alternating iteration scheme. In addition to these results, a comparison result for proper weak regular splittings is also obtained. 相似文献
